Part I is Emeralds with music by Fauré, French romantic style and green costumes. Part II is Rubies with music by Stravinsky, an American jazz mood and costumes are red. Part III is Diamonds with music by Tchaikovsky, Russian classical style and shimmery white costumes. The Mariinsky dancers bring weight and grandeur.
