In Episode 3 the story is more poignant as Mozart grapples with the death of his father, Leopold. This loss fuels a deeper emotional intensity in his music, most notably in the creation of the magnificent Don Giovanni, a bold and dramatic opera that divides opinion, and draws criticism from the emperor. We see the reason for the Austro-Turkish War and the decline of Austrian aristocratic support of Mozart, leaving him financially strained and creatively isolated despite his musical brilliance.
