The Europakonzert with the Berliner Philharmoniker, conducted by Bernard Haitink, was held in Poland. The program featured: Mozart's Exsultate, jubilate, from his Mass in C minor, Frédéric Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 2 in F minor performed by Emanuel Ax, and Robert Schumann's Symphony No. 1 in B-flat major, Op. 38, "Spring" which is a Joyful piece that was inspired by the arrival of spring. Schumann has filled this symphony with a sense of renewal and optimism. A vibrant concert.
