Chamber group, Trio Zadig, took Tchaikovsky’s The Seasons, originally a cycle of 12 solo piano pieces, and arranged them as a piano trio. The program is a conversational performance. The violin and cello sing out melodies while the piano keeps Tchaikovsky’s warm, romantic pulse. The audience revel in a musical journey with winter coziness, spring freshness, summer lyricism and autumn melancholy. The trio makes the music intimate, emotional, and alive: three musicians and the changing seasons.
