This comedy from Laurel and Hardy was their first full-length feature film. The story revolves around Laurel and Hardy playing bootleggers who are arrested for illegally selling alcohol during Prohibition. Their escapades in jail result in a downward spiral of disasters until they accidentally help the warden and are released. Initially planned as a short film, the duo's fame was growing so additional sequences and musical numbers were added. They also filmed in Spanish, French, and German.
