The Antonio Gades Company, founded by legendary choreographer Antonio Gades, blends flamenco, classical ballet, and Spanish folk dance with a focus on storytelling through movement and cultural authenticity through costume. Here they perform Fuenteovejuna, based on Lope de Vega’s 1619 play about a village's collective resistance. Gades' choreography, with music by Antón García Abril and design by Pedro Moreno, powerfully and beautifully conveys solidarity and justice.
