This gala celebrated the Israeli orchestra’s 60-year milestone, recognizing its founding in 1936 and marking six decades of world-class orchestral performance. The iconic event underlined legacy and excellence and featured many of the greatest soloists of different generations. Isaac Stern and Gil Shaham played Bach’s Double Violin Concerto in D minor. Additional icons of music include Itzhak Perlman, Pinchas Zukerman, Daniel Barenboim and Zubin Mehta playing Haydn, Vivaldi, Mozart and Brahms.
